La Petite Mort by Buchanan
(Words & Music by A.Rowley c2013)

If these lines are the home that you're running to;
Never turn your back as you feel your steps
Crushing in the mud and the darkness beneath you
I am here but only through neglect

Can't you hear a call in your heart
I am in your skin
Scratching at your need and your want to love.
There is nothing of you that I will not have
as you will die a little death
I am not the fool that you are looking for, yet.

Your bones they are hung for my pleasure
and every fragment of your flesh
Is perfectly placed on my table
So you can die a little death

If these lines are the home that you're running to;
Never turn your back as you feel your steps
Crushing in the mud and the darkness beneath you
I am here through neglect

Can't you hear a call in your heart
I am in your skin
Scratching at your need and your want to love.
There is nothing of you that I will not have
as you will die a little death
You die a little death
I am not the fool that you are looking for.

Middle State by Buchanan
(Words & Music by A.Rowley c2013)

I hurt too much to see
I wish to control my wavering weight
I bleed just to be
I wish for strength within my gait
I was never meant to be
I do not fit this physical state

I am far from where I stand
I ache for silence
I am far from where I stand
I ache for silence

So turn me on or turn me off
This middle state is killing me
You turn me on or turn me off
This middle state is killing me
Today I fought and lost
Only cutting my heart and not my skin

I am far from where I stand
I ache for silence
I am far from where I stand
I ache for silence.

Brave Face by Buchanan
(Words & Music by A.Rowley c2013)

Under the water is a brave face for you to wear today.
In between this daily slaughter lives a peaceful disposition of the human race.
Under the street lies the root that stretches brotherly to the leaf above that breathes the light.
It's kind of like our lives.
We dig, we turn, we grow, we yearn.
Under the sky are the roots that house the motherly who shield the ones they love as bombs fall from above like falling stars.
We drink, we burn, we die, we learn.
When all you need is water, warmth and worldly arms.
You're lucky if you get the chance.
